ABGi expands its European presence with the acquisition of Incotec

3 July 2026

ABGi has acquired Spanish innovation funding consultancy Incotec, strengthening its European presence and expanding its ability to support businesses with R&D tax incentives, grants and innovation funding across Europe.

ABGi is pleased to announce the acquisition of Incotec, one of Spain’s leading innovation funding consultancies.

The acquisition marks an important milestone in ABGi’s continued growth across Europe, establishing a significant presence in Spain and further strengthening our ability to support innovative businesses wherever they operate.

For more than 25 years, Incotec has built a strong reputation for helping organisations secure innovation funding through R&D tax incentives, grants and public funding programmes. With nine offices across Spain and a team of more than 120 specialists, the company brings extensive expertise and a well-established presence in one of Europe’s leading innovation markets.

Strengthening support for clients across Europe

Many innovative businesses now operate across multiple countries, with R&D activities, group structures and investment spanning international markets.

Bringing Incotec into the ABGi Group strengthens our ability to provide coordinated innovation funding support across Europe while maintaining the local expertise and personal service our clients value.

Whether supporting businesses expanding into Spain, managing innovation projects across multiple jurisdictions or accessing national and European funding programmes, the enlarged Group is better positioned to provide joined-up support through a single international network.

A stronger international group

Following the acquisition, ABGi now operates across nine countries, with:

  • More than 700 innovation funding specialists
  • More than 5,000 clients worldwide
  • More than 30 offices across Europe and North America
  • Annual revenues exceeding €100 million

The acquisition also broadens the Group’s expertise across R&D tax incentives, grants, public funding and innovation advisory services, enabling us to support clients throughout every stage of the innovation lifecycle.

Looking ahead

This acquisition reflects ABGi’s long-term commitment to investing in its expertise, expanding its international capabilities and helping innovative businesses access the funding they need to grow.

As innovation becomes increasingly international, our expanded European presence enables us to provide even greater support to organisations developing new technologies, entering new markets and delivering ambitious innovation programmes.

We are delighted to welcome our new colleagues from Incotec to the ABGi Group and look forward to the opportunities this creates for our clients, partners and teams across Europe.
