The promise of 5G infrastructure is that its low latency will be able to facilitate distance and time-sensitive networking. This will produce ultra-reliable wireless communications with a range better than Bluetooth solutions currently allow.

5G, in combination with IoT, will also lead to an increase in smart factories, flexible manufacturing, and precise indoor positioning for warehousing.

And that’s just manufacturing. Numerous other industries are set to benefit from 5G, including media and entertainment, automotive, healthcare and finance.
